DOUBLE END BORING

DESCRIPTION :

WELDMAN AUTOMATIC TWIN HEAD BORING MACHINE with Cast Iron Bed complete with Tool-Head with multiple Tools for each Head, for simultaneous machining (facing) and boring of the two ends of the Idler. The two heads of the machine move forward for machining the two ends of the Idler and after completion of the operation, the heads move backward.

Clamping & De-clamping of the job is done with the help of two nos. hydraulic motors. Once the ‘Start’ push button is pressed, the job is clamped with the help of hydraulic motors and the Head moves forward at a rapid speed till it almost reaches the job, the speed of travel slows down to machining speed and completes the machining operation. After completing the machining, the head moves backward automatically at a rapid speed till it reaches the HOME position and the job is de-clamped. The entire machining operation is completed within fraction of a minute and the skill required from the operator is bare minimum.

A set of tool holder with tool is supplied with the machine.

The job is clamped with the help of two sets of clamps moving horizontally with the help of hydraulic motors and Gears. This arrangement divides the error in diameter of the pipe, if any, equally on both sides, resulting in better quality machining of the Idler.

The operation is totally automatic, requiring practically no skill except for the tool setting which is required once the job diameter changes.

Please ensure that the pipes are cut to the required size within a tolerance of + 0.5 mm for efficient machining (facing). Before starting the operation, the job clamping vices are to be kept in the open position

The sequence of operation will be as follow :

1.Place the job on to the machine and align it with the left positioning lever.

2.The ‘START/AUTO CYCLE’ push button is pressed.

3.The job is clamped. Ensure that the positioning lever is brought down immediately after clamping of the job.

4.The heads move at a rapid speed towards the job.

5.Once the tools are near the job, the speed reduces.

6.The machining starts.

7.After the machining is finished, the heads move backward at a rapid speed and the job is declamped.

8.The machine is ready for the next sequence of operation.

NOTE: 1. The Boring Machine is suitable for conveyor tube/pipe having diameter of 76 mm to 200 mm and length of 200 mm to 2000 mm by using two vices.

2. The standard machine is suitable for a boring depth of 15 mm. For longer boring length, please inform us in advance, which will be done at a nominal extra cost. We have already manufactured and supplied boring machine capable of boring up to a depth of 70 mm.

3. Hydraulic Power Pack will be supplied. Hydraulic oil and the Cutting oil are not in our scope of supply.

4. Any civil work including foundation and foundation nut-bolts are not in our scope of supply.

Input Supply : 415V, 3 Phase, 4-Wire, 50 Hz AC
Machining Operation : By 2 nos. 5 HP Motors, 1 no. each for each Head, for giving rotary motion to the spindle of the Cutting Head.

Hydraulic Power Pack : 2 HP Motor, coupled to Gear Pump, Manifold and Solenoid Valve to give required sequence of operation.
Clamping-Declamping of the job : By 02 nos. Special Vice operated by Hydraulic Motor to divide the error in diameter of job equally on two sides.
Boring & Facing operation : With the help of 02 nos. Stepper motors with Human Machine Interface (HMI).
Sequence of Operation : By PLC.
Cooling : By Close circuit system with mixture of distilled water and coolant.
