DESCRIPTION :

WELDMAN make Automatic Pipe Cutting Machine, wherein the cutting tool rotates round the pipe for parting the pipe to the desired length. The pipe is fed to the cutting head with the help of In-feed trolley, on which the pipe is loaded manually and pushed till a stopper stops the pipe. The clamping and de-clamping of the job is done with the help of 03 nos. hydraulically operated Vices. The Vice, namely the 1st Vice, mounted on a trolley, travels in backward direction, clamps the pipe and takes the pipe in the forward direction through the Cutting Head till it reaches the desired length. Now the 2nd and 3rd Vice clamp the pipe, the cutting head starts rotating, and the cutting tool mounted on a motorised slide starts travelling towards the pipe. The tool cuts the pipe and after the completion of the cut, the Tool travels back to the home position at a rapid speed. At the same time, the 1st Vice opens and travels backward for the next operation.

The cutting time is less than one minute and it varies depending on the wall thickness of the pipe. The cut piece is removed manually.

The sequence of operation will be as follow :

1.Full length pipe is placed on the In-feed conveyor roller.

2.The pipe is pushed till it reaches the stopper.

3.Decide the length to be cut and enter the same in the HMI (Human-Machine Interface).

4.Push the start button located in the HMI.

5.The 1st Vice mounted on Trolley travels backward and clamps the pipe. After clamping, the vice travels forward and takes the pipe through the Cutting Head till it reaches the desired length

6.The 2nd & 3rd Vice will also clamp the Pipe for better rigidity.

7.The Tools start rotating and at the same time the cutting tool mounted on a motorised slide, travels towards the pipe and starts cutting the pipe.

8.After the completion of the cut, the Tools travel backward to its home position and is ready for the next operation.

NOTE: The Cutting Tool is cooled by water mixed with coolant is close circuit Hydraulic Power Pack is supplied complete, without First Fill of Oil.
